‘idARE’ - indian designs Army for Restoring Environment.

With such age old and golden thoughts in mind we set out to restore our environment and towards that, our first step is to make our surroundings greener by planting as many saplings as possible and care and nurture them until they become young trees and can sustain themselves for the rest of their life.

These plants will grow, conserve Soil, improve the water table, purify the air, provide nesting to millions of birds . . . and hence will have a positive impact towards repairing the troubled environment.

There is lot that we owe to nature and an initiative like this though in a tiny way, will help restore the wealth of clean, safe, healthy and beautiful environment.

Towards achieving this objective . . .

Indian Designs Exports Pvt. Ltd., to be more specific Mr. Javeed Haroon , Director, Indian Designs Exports Pvt. Ltd., a passionate tree lover, doing his bit for conserving the surroundings by planting trees, was inspired to go a step ahead and came up with a concept of building an army of like minded enthusiasts, that could work towards a wider horizon and not just its surroundings, and ‘idARE’ was conceptualized. The response was inspiringly overwhelming as all of us are guilty somewhere deep down about being responsible for the deteriorating quality of environment and don’t have an avenue or a platform to help rejuvenate it. ‘idARE’ has been utilized as a platform by many to contribute their share of concern towards the environment.

Still in its infancy ‘idARE’ is craving to grow faster towards re-construction of environment and hence volunteering for the cause.

We invite our clients to participate and join hands with us for this cause. We understand that all cannot be right there and do it. Hence ‘idARE’ has come-up with an idea of adopting the plants and ensure their well being until they are capable of surviving on their own. This option will ensure the flexibility of your participation in the noble cause without actually having to preside. The adoption period is for 2 years only after which the plants can grow carefree. Isn’t it amazing that they don’t ask for more than 2 years of nurturing by us humans’ and still nurture so many of us till they perish. “So little to give and so much to receive”.

Our very first project, started as an initiative by Mr. Javeed to green up and beautify our very own premises, Indian Designs Exports Pvt. Ltd., in the available limited space. This project was prior to the inception of ‘idARE’. This small initiative actually reaped unexpected returns. Many or almost every employee finds the place so beautiful that coming to work was no longer a chore but a pleasure as the lush green surroundings leave any one entering the campus elated with the exotic view in the campus. A little peep into the green scenic view amid hectic work turned out to be a good de-stressor. Further the green campus also earned a lot of praise from many of our clients who visited us. This in turn encouraged for an expansion to the surroundings of the campus which gave way for a scope to grow on a wider scale and ‘idARE’ was born.

Here are a few pictures of the sprawling scenic nature within Indian Designs Exports Pvt. Ltd. campus which is our pride today and also several saplings that have found a place and grown into young trees in our surroundings and which have already been tendered. The maiden project after the inception of ‘idARE’ was by celebrating the Women’s day by the plantation activity which was welcomed with open hearts by the women employees. So far we already have planted and nurtured about 900 saplings in and outside Bangalore.

Some of the current projects in hand for which the work is in progress are:

1. Burial grounds in Hegde Nagar
2. Areas around campus
3. Rachenahalli lake

It would be so nice to see some greenery in the surroundings of a barren, arid cemetery like this… a grown tree that could stretch its arms to comfort the bereaved hearts that have lost their dear ones, a home for perching birds that could sing to soothe the grieving kin, that could assure that the departed rest in peace and tranquil, that could bring an added peace when you visit your dear after a long time.
This lake once home for many colorful fish, that has provided life by its water to the thirsty, been a play spot for many children, blown cool breeze to a passer by…. today is a big dry hole. A restored lake bordered by flower borne colorful trees ushers so many lovely scenes in front of our eyes like the colorful petals of the flowers fallen from the trees floating in the rippling water, little children playing and cackling under the trees and enjoying the beauty of the lake, visiting strangers exploring each other….All that we enjoyed as little ones… imagine being able to give the same to our children.

Expanding from within campus to surrounding the campus and from one individual to an army comprising 85 volunteers, our new ventures now are shaping into bigger projects that call for more participation and financial aid. And adoption could be your way of volunteering for the cause. This involvement can leave all of us with a satisfaction that somewhere on the earth we have been the cause of a noble deed in providing shadow to a heat stricken passer by, calming green view to the work stressed minds, fresh air to the near surroundings, a play area for kids and squirrels, shelter for nestling birds, a healing pack to mother earth….it could be endless.

We are looking forward to a great response from our esteemed clients in making our Earth, a clean green abode for the generations to come.
